Welcome to our website, we hope you enjoy browsing through it and finding out about our dogs and Gordons in general.

Kintalis is the kennel name belonging to Peter & Judith Rand and we live in the heart of Witshire, very close to the Cotswolds with it's pretty villages and towns. We have owned Gundogs for nearly 30 years and for 13 of these we have been owned by Gordon Setters. We are a small kennel that show and occasionally breed a litter and have enjoyed some reasonable success with our dogs. Most of the dogs we own have gained their Stud Book numbers which gives them Life Qualification at Crufts.

    Our first meeting with Gordons was at Crufts in 1982, both of us knew then that one day we would love to own one of these beautiful dogs. After doing some research we decided that they would be the right dogs for us, but it was not until 1997 that this came to fruition with the arrival of our first Gordon - Rushgrove Good Heavens. He was shown and awarded a Challenge Certificate at 16 months old, sadly though he had to be retired early. Next to join the family in 2000 was a bitch - Liric Romance. She gained her Junior Warrant at a young age, several Best Puppy awards at Championship & Open Shows and has 1 CC & 1 RCC.

Our Kennel name was granted in 1999 and Liric Romance became our foundation bitch. Her progeny have been lucky to win various awards. Kintalis Lochlaggan - J.W, BP in Show at the Setter & Pointer Ch Show 2003, BP awards at several Ch & Open Shows and Top Junior Dog with the GSA 2004. K Celtic Aurora - only lightly shown, did account for herself well by being awarded several BP at Ch & Open Shows. K Midnight Star - 2 CC's & 3 RCC's, J.W, Top Gordon Setter Puppy 2006, Gundog Puppy Group 3 at a Ch Show and several BP and Group placings at Open Shows. Litter brother to Midnight Star - K Total Stardom, owned by Mr B & Mrs J Hill, has 1 RCC and has accounted for himself well at both Ch & Open Shows. We are now showing two granddaughters of Liric Romance, Kintalis Carisma who has 1 RCC & RBIS and our new girl, K She's Like The Wind who has had a promising start to her show career.

All our dogs live with us indoors and are firstly much loved family pets and loyal companions as well as being show dogs. They all enjoy a full and happy life together with daily free running in a very large country park which keeps them very fit and active. Our dogs all have lovely temperaments and as breeders this is one of our main considerations when choosing a sire for any of our litters.

We are Kennel Club Accredited Breeders and members of the Breed Clubs, therefore adhering to all their relevent Rules & Codes of Ethics. Peter is currently serving a second term as a Committee member of the BGSC and is responsible for the Club shop. Both of us have been passed to judge the breed at Open Show level and have appointments planned for 2010 & 2011.
